Torn Between MBA in Hotel Management and Business Management: Which Path Should I Choose?

jayaanand13
Good Evening Sir,

I am in a confused state about what to choose as my career profession. I am a student of Bachelor of Hotel Management, and I want to pursue an MBA in Business Management as my career option. I am not interested in hotel management. Could you provide the pros and cons of business management, etc.? Please suggest to me what to choose.

Thank you,
nashbramhall
I wonder why there is any confusion, as you do not want to continue in Hotel Management. Choose an ordinary MBA, which may provide you with a wider choice.

Thank you, Jayanand, for your private message. I am repeating my message here for the benefit/comments from others.

"I have already told you. If you go for a general MBA, you have a wider choice of jobs; if you go for an MBA in Hotel Management, then your choice will be limited. As you do not want to pursue a career in Hotel Management, you will feel miserable if you do not get a job outside it. There are people who study Engineering during their basic degree and then study finance/marketing for their MBA and change fields."

When you were not interested in the hotel industry, why did you choose a Hotel Management Degree? If you are still interested in Hotel Management, consider pursuing the CHA course, and you will have access to top-line job opportunities.
