I have recently joined a startup and am setting up the HR practices here. I need to know what are the mandatory company and HR policies every organization should have according to Indian law, and which act do they fall under. I would really appreciate help here.

Hi,

Following are the compulsory policies:

1. Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace
2. Prohibition of usage of Tobacco and such products

The rest of the policies should include provisions as per law, such as maternity leaves and the minimum number of paid leaves in a year.
