Can We Safely Include Women in Night Shifts at Our Factory? Seeking Guidance and Notifications

Dear Seniors,

In factories, women workers are not allowed. However, I recently read in a newspaper that female workers can work in factories if the management ensures their safety. I work in Manufacturing, and we have 100 female employees in assembly and packing.

Is it possible for us to appoint female workers for shifts? Does anyone have a notification regarding this?

Dear Sir,

We are working in Maharashtra. As per the Factories Act, we cannot appoint female workers for night shifts. However, recently, Hon. CM of Maharashtra, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, announced an amendment to the above-stated rule. Does anyone have the notification regarding this?

Dear all,

Actually, females are not supposed to work after 8 pm in the company or in a factory. This may lead to legal issues according to the Factories Act.
