Should I Transfer or Withdraw My PF After Just 6 Months at My Old Job?

Sharyu B
I was working for hardly 6 months in my old company. Should I transfer PF to my new company account or withdraw the amount, as I guess 6 months' PF is not a significant amount? Also, the salary was less compared to the new company. Please suggest transfer or withdrawal?

Dear Sharyu B,

You may transfer both PF and pension contributions to the new service club.

First of all, you cannot withdraw the money if you are employed. Second, do not withdraw this amount. Transfer it to your new P/F account and allow savings to grow. PF savings are an ideal instrument for long-term savings and growth. Don't underestimate it and treat the PF as a savings account.

Dear Sharyu,

I think you should transfer your old PF to your new account. Now, the PF transfer process has become easy. Just go to the EPFO site, navigate to the For Employees section, and proceed to the Online Transfer Claim Portal (OTCP) to fill out the form.

Sharyu,

It's a unanimous call from all the HR Fraternity, Just "TRANSFER IT".

Process is quite simple.

Dear Sharyu B,

You may transfer both PF and pension contributions to the club with your new service. However, interest is not considered from the transfer amount.
