How Can I Get My Relieving Certificate Reissued to Fix Overlapping Dates Problem?

My last working day at ABC company was 31-07-2007, and I joined XYZ company on 07-08-2007. I received a relieving letter from ABC organization dated 13-08-2007, and there is an overlap of 7 days. I request ABC organization to reissue the relieving letter dated 31-07-2007; however, the organization is reluctant to reissue a certificate with changed dates.

All senior personnel, please let me know what the process is to get a relieving certificate with changed dates, since this overlap is creating a joining problem in the new EFG organization, which is very diligent with paperwork.

I resigned on 31/07 and joined XYZ Company on 07/08. Later, ABC Company informed their head office on 13/08 and prepared the relieving letter dated 13/08. Now, as I am about to join EFG Company, they require a new relieving letter with the date 31/07. ABC Company has stated that they will not modify their database. I am seeking advice on how to resolve this issue.
