Facing Pension Calculation Confusion in ECR Challan: Should I Adjust Manually?

!dea4u
While filling the ECR Challan through the E-return tool, I am facing an issue regarding the pension amount.

Case Details:

Wage Month - June | Return Month - July

- Employee A: DOJ (5/6/15) - Actual Basic (7000) - NCP (0) - EPF Wages (6066 for 26 days) - Pension (583; 8.33% of 7000)
- Employee B: DOJ (17/6/15) - Actual Basic (7000) - NCP (2) - EPF Wage (2800 for 12 days) - Pension (233; 8.3% of 2800)

Employee A's pension should be 8.33% of 6066, i.e., 505, but the system is taking the Actual Basic for pension calculation, i.e., 583. Is this correct, or should I change the entry of the pension manually in the "Fields for entry of wages and contributions in DATA ENTRY OF MONTHLY WAGE"?

Please suggest a solution.

Dear friend,

If the entry in the system is wrong, kindly correct it manually with the actual earnings.
