Struggling to Get My Relieving Letter: How Can I Resolve This HR Issue?

I resigned from a job and surrendered one month's salary to the company as per their norms. For the past 45 days, I have been constantly following up with HR for the relieving letter and have sent emails as well, but there has been no proper response from them. They are asking me to visit the office to complete pending queries and the full and final settlement process, which I have already completed by the Last Working Day (LWD). Despite resolving their queries numerous times, the issue persists. Now, the director is also involved and pressuring me to visit the office regarding the pending query. I have requested them to email me the pending queries for resolution. Kindly advise, as I have already joined a new job and urgently require the relieving letter.

They are asking you to come one last time and resolve the queries they have. So what is the actual problem in going there for a few hours to do that? Otherwise, there is no resolution of this matter.

I agree with Saswata. No harm in visiting your previous employer once and clearing all dues. Personal interaction in this case is anytime better than sending mails or making calls. If things are confident in your mind, the issue will get sorted then and there. Do not worry a visit will really help you and your company to get all the queries resolved.

I will also repeat the same advice as given by other learned members. Visit the old office once again with a prior appointment. Sort out queries in writing and close the matter. This is the best way out.

Here the querist is not being called for an exit interview to understand the reasons for the exit. Apparently, there are other work-related queries that the relieving company wants to get clarifications on from the recently relieved employee. Pending clearance of queries, the relieving letter is being held up.
