Licenses Required for Fruit Juice-Based Drinks Production
To produce fruit juice-based drinks, you need to apply for and obtain the following licenses:
1. A license from the MOH department or a Trade license from the Licensing department of MCGM under section 394.
2. Factory permit from MCGM under section 390.
3. Factory license from the DISH department if you employ more than 10 employees.
4. A license from MPFA, now under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

Medical Examination Process for Employees
Upon obtaining a license from the MOH and MPFA (FDA), you need to contact your local MOH for the medical examination of your employees. Provide the list of employees to the MOH. The MOH will then direct your employees to the nearest hospitals where you must pay the prescribed fee per employee for medical examinations and obtain a health card. This health card must be renewed annually.
