Joining Formalities
When an employee joins after selection, the company needs to induct them to work in a comfortable manner so that the employee settles down, understands the company culture, rules, and work requirements. This process starts with briefing them about the company, products, departments, their department, key people of the company, timings, leave rules, pay, and perks, etc.
Filling out various forms, such as nominations and details of bank accounts for payment purposes, and the issuance of mobiles or laptops as per company policy, are also part of the process.
All steps necessary to make the employee work-ready and comfortable in the new setup should be followed.
Exit Formalities
Similarly, exit formalities include all steps relevant to the exiting employee, such as handing over duties, company property held, and checking of property/inventory/pending work of the employee.
Preparation of relieving certificates and work experience certificates is essential.
Clearance of dues from the employee and dues to the employee should be managed.
Updating the employee database for the deletion of the name is necessary.
A smooth exit for those who leave will enhance the company's reputation.
Maintain a record of exit interviews for the analysis of attrition rates and reasons.
Each company has its own rules for these internal formalities.
