Should We Apply the Shop & Establishment License to Our Sub-Offices in Punjab?

Hi! I'm working in a Security Company. I want to ask whether my main office is in Mohali, Punjab, and I have a License for Shop and Establishment. Our sub-offices are in Jalandhar, Bathinda, and Ludhiana. Please suggest if we should apply the same for our sub-offices.

As you have mentioned in your query that your main office is located in Mohali (Punjab) and you have obtained registration (not a license as you mentioned) under the Shop & Establishment Act. The Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 defines "shop" as any premises where any trade or business is carried on or where services are rendered to customers and includes offices, storerooms, godowns, sale depots, or warehouses, whether in the same premises or otherwise, used in connection with such trade or business but does not include a commercial establishment or a shop attached to a factory under Section 2 (xxv).

Thus, you need to take separate registrations in respect of your sub-offices located in Jalandhar, Bathinda, and Ludhiana.
