How to Effectively Test PHP Developers in Interviews: Seeking Advice on Coding Assessments

Hello,

I work for a software development company. I need to recruit some experienced candidates for the position of PHP Developer. For that purpose, I require to conduct a programming (coding) test (this is the 1st round of the interview process in our company) which would help me evaluate the overall knowledge and skills of the candidate.

Can anyone please guide me through this as to what kind of tests should I conduct or from where can I get those tests?

Hello Supriya,

There are many web-based technical evaluation services available for a host of skills, including PHP - just Google. Quite a few of them are free or free for the initial usage. In fact, many such evaluation services don't even need the candidates to visit your office to take the test(s). They take it at home, and the results get mailed to you by the provider.
