Can I Withdraw My Pension Fund While Still Employed and What Happens Next?

Hello Sir,

I have been working with the same company for less than 9 years and 6 months, and I am still employed by the same company. Can I withdraw my pension fund while still working for the same company? If yes, what will happen to my pension if I continue to work there until retirement? Will the EPS contributions start again from my salary, and will I be eligible to receive a pension after reaching 58 years of age?

The basic requirement for eligibility for a pension is ten years of service before retirement. However, you can only claim it after your retirement. We do not know your age and your date of retirement. If it is feasible, you may continue for another six months to become eligible for the pension.

Hi Kumaracme,

I want to withdraw my pension fund, and I am not leaving my company either. Can I withdraw my pension fund now?

Hi Kumaracme,

I want to withdraw my pension fund, and I am not leaving my company either. Can I withdraw my pension fund now as I haven't completed 9 years and 6 months yet, but I have completed 9 years of service?

No, you cannot withdraw unless you resign and settle your PF amount. You cannot take your pension amount.

You can get a pension fund by formally exiting the organization. However, if you wish to receive pension benefits again, you must complete another 10 years of service.

As Mr. Jagat suggested, you cannot withdraw your PF & Pension amount without settling all dues in full and final. You can work with your HR team to settle your account, but you cannot rejoin the same organization before 3 months. If you agree with this, please proceed.
