Newly Established Firm: Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages
- You can gain a comprehensive view and work on all components of the HR job.
- HR systems will be set up in front of you, providing invaluable experience.
Disadvantages
- Pay may be lower.
- A structured work environment may not be present initially.
- The career path may not be clear in the initial years until the business stabilizes.
While working in an MNC offers prestige, higher pay, perks, a defined growth path, and existing work patterns, it may not provide exposure to all aspects of your work. You might find yourself stuck in a set of jobs for extended periods. For progressing and learning in HR, working in back-end operations is also necessary. Therefore, being in the backend should not be seen as a disqualifying factor. If you believe the new firm will continue to grow and job stability is not a concern, working in a new setup can offer all-around learning experiences.
