Considering a Job Change from a Small Firm to a Larger Company: What Should I Expect?

sabbycons
Hi everyone, I have a concern that I am unable to resolve myself, and I would like to know your views.

Current Employment Situation

My present company is a proprietorship owned by a single owner, with a maximum of 15 employees. This is my first job after completing my education, and I didn't think much before joining as I was eager to start working. At that time, I wasn't aware of these details either. I mean, who would be?

Considering a Job Change

Now, my question is: suppose I am considering a job change and plan to join a new, larger company. What are the potential consequences? Will this create any problems? I will have all the necessary documents. However, I want to hear from you as you are more knowledgeable about this situation.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks in advance,

I have gone through your query. The company size depends on your experience and skill enhancement. Most startup companies provide a friendly working environment to their employees and offer a lot of opportunities to learn on your own, not through spoon-feeding.

Understanding Your Concerns

What is your actual concern? Is it about being at a startup company and wanting a brand tag in your career? Or not getting enough opportunities to grow your knowledge here? Or not receiving sufficient salary to kickstart your career? Or something else?

Branding and Career Growth

If it's about branding, then you should continue here for at least 2 years. In the 1st year, you will be in a learning and experimental phase where the company will have minimal output, but in the 2nd year, you can apply your knowledge and help the employer grow.

Salary Considerations

If it's about salary, it's just the beginning. You are in the initial phase, and once you grow, you will have enough to sustain your growth. Don't be in a hurry.

Opportunities for Advancement

If it's about opportunities, in this case, you need to be serious. If you're not getting enough space for that, you may consider moving forward.

Thanks a lot for your responses.

I have received an offer from an MNC but would be on the payroll of a third party. Should I accept it? Is it possible to transition to the company's payroll after a few months, instead of remaining with the third party? Please advise.

Thanks in advance.
