How Do We Pay PF Admin Charges on the EPFO Website When No Employees Opt In?

Our company has registered for PF, but currently, all employees have their basic salary above Rs 15,000/-, so no one is willing to opt for PF. However, there are admin charges that need to be paid. Until Dec 2014, it was Rs 100/- per month, and from Jan 2015, it has increased to Rs 200/- per month.

Our doubt is how to generate this challan and then pay? We have our company login on the EPFO website.

Please advise on how we can proceed with paying the PF admin charges on the EPFO website. Thank you.

If any employee is covered for PF, then that employee has to continue with PF contributions even if their wages exceed Rs. 15,000. There is no option to stop the contribution due to exceeding the ceiling amount.

We have recently registered with PF; our company was not covered under PF before. Most of our employees are freshers, so this is their first job. The experienced employees did not have a PF account in their previous companies.

From where did you get this information? I am an ordinary member of this forum, but I still believe that members should conduct their own research before questioning anything.

Regarding Your Query on How to Generate the Challan and Pay the Administrative Charges

Log in to Employer e-sewa. You will find various options. Go to the challan option and click on challan entry. In the challan entry, you will see an option for "Cont. / Admin / Insp. Challan." Click there and enter the appropriate amount of administrative charges.

Upon submitting the challan, you will need to make the payment online.

Up until December 2014, the administrative charges on PF and EDLI, when there are no contributory members, were Rs. 5/- and Rs. 2/- respectively. Effective from January 2015, these charges have been increased to Rs. 75/- and Rs. 25/- respectively.

From your brief post, it is understood that you obtained a PF number, and while doing so, you must have provided numbers as well. There must be peons, support staff, office boys, or casual workmen whose salary may be less than Rs. 15,000 per month. Freshers are also to be covered, other than apprentices.

I suggest you read previous posts and clarify first. There is no Rs. 100 or Rs. 200 monthly administrative liability. Please recheck the applicability once again, and then verify practical applications.

Changes in PF Administrative Charges

The PF admin charges have been changed as EPFO fixes the administrative charges payable in Account No. II at 0.85%, subject to a minimum sum of Rs. 500/- per month for establishments with contributory members and a sum of Rs. 75/- per month for every non-functional establishment without contributory members.

EPFO also sets the administrative charges payable in Account No. XXII at 0.01%, subject to a minimum sum of Rs. 200/- per month for establishments with contributory members and a sum of Rs. 25/- per month for every non-functional establishment without contributory members.

In your system, EPFO E-return Software, go to SYSTEM ADMIN, OPEN CONTRIBUTION AND OTHER PARAMETERS, and make the necessary changes accordingly.
