Dear All, I would like to inquire whether an employee can take sick leave in advance. For example, if an employee wishes to utilize sick leave days in advance, is it permissible for the employee to do so?

Logically, you are wrong. How can you predict your sickness? In some companies, they will not sanction sick leave in advance as this type of leave only requires information over the phone or via email.

It is a totally illogical thing. How could you predict the future that you are going to be ill on such and such a date? The sick leave can only be availed after taking leave, not before or in advance. You should inform about the leave on the same day or one day before, not after taking the leave.
