Understanding Performance Management
In simple words, Performance Management is a set of activities, initiatives, and processes through which the organization can manage the performance of its key intangible assets, i.e., its employees. This, in turn, helps the organization in its growth and development.
For example, if a company has 10 employees: 2 in top management, 3 in middle management, and 5 in junior management, the organization would like to see how individual performance would lead to the accomplishment of a greater goal, which is the mission and vision of the company. Therefore, it would assess the employees according to certain predetermined criteria.
I would suggest you search through sites like Cite HR or Google to enrich yourself with vast knowledge. However, you should learn the basics first and then implement them along with your own ideas.
