Understanding Scheme Certificates: Can They Be Used for New PF Claims and Benefits?

Kindly let us know the usage of the Scheme certificate received from PF. One of the employees worked with us for 4 years and wants to claim PF. The previous company worked with for 9 years and claimed the PF amount, receiving a Scheme certificate from EPFO. Could you please inform us whether the Scheme certificate can be submitted along with the New PF Claim for withdrawal and what benefits will be applicable?

The scheme certificate can be surrendered to avail the PF pension so that the service recorded in the certificate will be clubbed with the present service.
