PF Claim - Scheme Certificate

Dear Team, Kindly let us know the usage of Scheme certificate received from PF....one of the employee worked with us for 4 yrs and want to claim PF....previous company worked with 9 yrs and claimed the PF amount and received Scheme certificate from EPFO...kindly let us know whether the Scheme certificate can be submitted along with New PF Claim for withdrawal & what will be the benefit..

Scheme certificate can be surrendered to avail PF pension, so that the service recorded in the certificate will be clubbed with present service.

Please clarify what do you mean by - he has claimed the PF from the previous company.
