Transitioning from Travel to HR: Seeking Advice on Courses and Career Path Options

shruthrao
Dear experts/professionals,

I would like to reorient myself in the career field from the travel sector to the HR sector. In this perspective, I have been pursuing an MBA in HR from a distance education provider, SMUDE, final semester. I greatly respect and apply the experiences gained from my previous prestigious employers to my future career.

Now, my consideration is that pursuing a master's from a corresponding course is not sufficient for someone to shift to another career. It's better to know if any standard online crash courses are being conducted related to HRM certification. This really helps me to understand HR processes in detail apart from academics. Through the course, I have been able to understand some of the HR functions like sourcing and resourcing, compensation, benefits, performance management, talent management, employee retention, etc.

I am keen to work for MNCs as I have been exposed to corporate culture before to avail the benefits.

I request all senior members to kindly guide me on the right track of my career path.

Can we take self-internship programs (at least for 3 months) because my university assigns projects only for a short period (a month) or is the other alternative to go through courses conducted online, or just start off the career?

To speak about myself, I am always adaptable to the learning environment.

Please share your opinions and also your information about my queries listed above.

Regards,

Shruti,

Bangalore.

"Hi Shruti! Can we take self-internship programs (at least for 3 months), as my university assigns projects only for a short period (a month)? Or is the other alternative to go through courses conducted online? Or just start off the career? It seems like you are thinking a lot about HRM. Your query is a bit confusing. To assist you properly, it would be more relevant if you could explain in a better way, listing all your queries in a proper format. If you don't want to share on the forum, you may provide inputs to our email: [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons] Regards"

Hi,

If you are looking specifically into the corporate sector initially, it may be a bit challenging. To begin with, you can work in any industry in HR and later consider making a switch. Currently, there is an opening for freshers at a hospital. If you are interested, please let me know.

Hi Jatin,

I am inquiring if there is an online crash course available for certification in HRM that most organizations would value and prefer. Thank you and regards,

Shruthi.

I am just trying to gather information about the best online certification courses that can increase the chances of being employed by MNCs. Do MNC companies consider fresh graduates with HR experience in other fields?

Thank you and regards.
