Hello Sr. HR professional, I have two years of experience as an HR Executive in an IT/Software company. For the past two years, I have been involved in both profiles because I have worked in a small-scale company until now. So, I am the single person who has to handle the entire recruitment life cycle as well as payroll and other HR operations. This time, I want to change my job. The reason is that I want to join a big organization for my personal and professional growth. However, I am unable to make a decision now regarding whether I should apply for a Recruiter or Generalist profile. Sometimes, I am tired from recruitment because our company operates on a 6-day workweek, with a working time of 9 hours. As a result, most experienced candidates refuse to join us. Additionally, I have to handle employee attendance, listen to their work-related issues, manage their appraisals, handle payroll, conduct exit formalities if anyone leaves the company, and manage many other day-to-day activities. Please suggest to me, should I start searching for a job in HR Admin/Operation/Generalist profile? Or should I apply for an IT Recruiter position? Kindly reply!
