Stuck with EPFO Form 10 D: What Should I Do Next to Resolve This Issue?

Janardhananvp
Hi all,

My name is Janardhanan. I filled out the 10 D form for EPFO but received a reply stating that the form is still pending with them. The reason provided was an affidavit regarding the working status of the member since 2001. Which form should I fill out next, or what should I do next? Could any of you help?

Thank you.

I haven't been working since 2001. How can I show that? Is there any form that I could fill out and send?

Thank you.

Hi Janardan,

You have to seek clarification from the PF Department about the requisite documents required by them to enable them to process your claim at the earliest. Feel free to ask for more details from:

Dear Janardhanan Ji,

It appears that you left your employment in 2001 and are now applying for monthly pension after a lapse of 14 years. As a result, EPFO is requesting an affidavit from you affirming that you were not employed and did not receive EPS during that time.

Please provide the necessary documentation as requested by EPFO to facilitate the processing of your pension application.

Thank you.

There is a long gap between your last employment and the date of claim. The PF office needs justification for the same. Just submit an affidavit stating that you have not worked anywhere during this duration and you were self-employed or something like that.

It's an affidavit that the PF department is asking for in relation to your Form No. 10D. Please approach a Notary and prepare an Affidavit stating that you have not been working since 2001, then submit the same to the Department. Additionally, the PF department may request an indemnity bond, for which there is a separate format available. Please collect it and submit the completed form with all the necessary information.
