Can I Ignore My Brief Railway Job for My New IBPS Clerk Role Without Issues?

Sir, I was a trainee/apprentice (composites ground) at Indian Railways in a Group C position. I worked for only 2 days in that role and then left the job. I have not rejoined since then. I have now cleared IBPS Clerk and do not wish to pursue the railway job. Can I continue to ignore the railway job as I have been doing, or do I need to follow a formal process? Will not going through the formal process cause issues with my upcoming IBPS Clerk job? I have not received any salary, not submitted my certificates, not provided my account number, not been assigned a PF number, and have not received any documentation from the railway.

Sir, IBPS has allotted banks to the successful candidates, but joining, medical formalities, and police verification are yet to be done. I have talked to the senior officials of IR of my department personally. They are saying that there would be no problem, but I am a little confused and, of course, scared too that there might be an official problem from the IR side to my allotted bank.

HR job is in hand. I don't think they will have any problem relieving you as other compassionate appointments will be in queue. But the other job has many formalities to be completed.
