Navigating Resignation: How to Handle Notice Period and Salary Timing?

Gulshan2007
Hi all, Currently, I am working in a private limited company. Circumstances have arisen in the company that prevent me from continuing in my current position. According to the appointment letter I have, there is a one-month notice period policy in place. However, our salary cycle runs from the 21st to the 20th of each month, with salaries being paid on the 7th of every month.

I would like to receive my salary and formally resign by sending an email to the organization. Can you please advise me on the best course of action in this situation? Thank you.

Regards

Notice Period and Resignation Process

Strictly follow the one-month notice period. Follow the laid-down procedure for quitting the organization. Submit a written application giving reasons and the date by which you require release. The release has nothing to do with the salary cycle. You should be paid for the one month you have worked during the notice period.

Leaving the company by means of a mere email will hamper chances of jobs in other private companies. Most big and good companies conduct background checks and verify details in your CV before appointment. Leave on a clean slate. If you read other threads in this learned forum, you will see the problems faced by some who had left without notice, hidden information, etc. Keep your departure from your present company as comfortable and clean as possible.
