It can be online/e recruitment, factory gate, thru newspaper/print recruiment, referral, internal database, thru placement consultancies(outsourcing) etc.

My question is "what the are methods of recruitment that commonly practiced in India". I gave some examples in support of my question. i.e- Direct Recruitment, Indirect rec., through consultancies etc.

Actually, your question itself is like fishy. I think you yourself are not clear about what do u want ?
Sometimes you ask "types of recruitment", sometimes "methods of recruitment" sometimes something.
You better be first clear at your own end that what actually do want ?

Hi Ameesh,
The recruitment practices differ from organization to organization & industry to industry. It will be very difficult to comment as to what are the various types/ methods of recruitment practices across the country.
Recruitment practices/ types/ methods/ sources are basically misnomers. They can be quoted/ interpreted as the same.
The most commonly used practices for hiring talent is through external agencies, job portals, news paper advt, referrals, walk-ins, direct applicants etc.
