Has Andhra Pradesh Issued the Notification for ESI Act Amendment on Coverage?

Hello all, Please let me know the applicability of the Employees' State Insurance Act in Andhra Pradesh. One of the amendments approved by the ESIC was to reduce the threshold for coverage of factories as well as other establishments to 10 from 20 in the case of non-power using factories as well as other non-factory establishments. Now, to enact this amendment, the concerned State Government under Sub-Section (5) of Section-1 of the Act has to issue the required notification.

My query is whether the notification in the State of Andhra Pradesh has been issued.

As per my information, the State Government of Andhra Pradesh issued a notification as mentioned by you on 21/04/2011. If desired, you can confirm the same along with its contents from the appropriate Regional/Sub-Regional Office of ESIC situated in Andhra Pradesh. The information may also be available on the website of the said RO/SRO of ESIC.
