What's the Latest on Optional P.F. After the Budget Announcement?

Hi, please share any update on Optional P.F. as announced in the Budget. The Finance Minister declared that P.F. will be optional up to some basic wages or for some categories of people. Thank you.

Union Finance Budget and EPFO Circular Updates

The Union Finance Budget will be discussed in Parliament. After any amendments, the Parliament has to pass the budget. Thereafter, the EPFO has to release the circular. Only then will the picture be clear.

Note: The ceiling hike to Rs. 15,000 and a minimum pension of Rs. 1,000 were included in the last budget (one year before). However, the EPFO issued the circular on 28.8.2014 with an effective date of 01.09.2014.
