I currently work in a Central Govt. organization, let's call it 'A'. Before I joined A in October 2013 as a Regular/Permanent employee, I had appeared for a written test for another Govt organization 'B' (autonomous body).
After six months of working in A, I passed the written test and received an interview call from B. So, I informed my current and immediate boss at Organization A in writing that I wanted to appear for the interview for Organization B, requesting permission. I also mentioned that I had taken this test before joining A. I waited for their response, but they did not reply, so I proceeded with the interview for B, as I would have otherwise missed the opportunity. The final results have been declared, and I have qualified for a position in Organization B in 2015, expecting to receive an appointment letter soon.
Question Regarding NOC and Resignation
My question is, if I resign from A once I receive the appointment letter and join B, will A provide me with an NOC letter since I had informed them about my interview? Or will they create problems as they did not respond?
Probation Period and Confirmation Letter
I would also like to inform you that to date, I have not received a confirmation letter from my employer A. The appointment letter/order stated that the probation period would be one year, extendable by another year. It was also mentioned that either party could give one month's notice or one month's salary in lieu of during the probation period.
