Good initiative Damodharan. But, my suggestion is join a consultancy and work there for few months till you get some practical exposure. This would help you in judging the operational efficiencies.

Exellent information to start a very concreted consultancy. In this case PEST analysis will be very useful for you. Since we are trying to enter into very competitive market we have to analyse our competitors and their SWOT.
