EPF Form 2 Submission: What Documents Do I Need for Nominees?

sapnashah69
Can you please guide me as to which documents pertaining to the nominees I have to submit along with Form 2 of EPF?

Hi @Sapnashah69, no need to submit any separate documents pertaining to the nomination of Form 2 of EPF. You just need to fill in the details of your legal nominees. Yes, you may include your family members' details (along with the nomination details) to ensure an "either-or survival" benefit can be given to any of your family members in the absence of the "registered nominee."

Hope this will help. All the best.

Thanks. But do I need to attach any ID proof or a bank passbook copy? I was also uncertain about that. I was told that an ID proof must be submitted; hence, the clarification.

Hi @Sapnashah69, the person who told you to do this, kindly tell him to go to EPFO (Govt. of India) and inquire. Also, tell him to go through the "Provident Fund Act 1952" and ask him where it's written to submit the ID proof.

Submission of ID Proof for PF Withdrawal

The PF department only wants proof when it's a withdrawal form submission (Form No. 19 & 10C). A canceled cheque is to be attached with these two forms to get the funds deposited to the said bank account. Even in this case, the PF department does not ask for any ID proof.

So, take the suggested steps and revert if you face any queries.

Form 2 submission does not require any additional documents to be submitted. However, the verification of the nominee details should be done by the company/employer as the company's authorized personnel is required to sign on the Form 2. Hence, you may ask for the documents to ascertain the accuracy of the name/details mentioned pertaining to the nominee.

Dear all,

Please clarify in the Provident Fund present mode, whether the UAN version Form 2 or Form 3A should be submitted along with the PF claim.
