Understanding Form 5A Online Filing: Are You Compliant with EPF Requirements?

Mandatory Filing of Return in Form-5A

Employers of establishments covered under the Employees' Provident Funds & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (the Act) are required to file returns in Form-5A online. This is in accordance with HO No. C-III/Compliance-2001/Cir/E-1/39808 dated 25/02/2015. The relevant document is enclosed for reference.

We, the PSU Himachal Forest Corporation, and I, the GM of the factory, are involved in the production of intermediary products. We are encountering difficulties in the online submission of Form 5A. In one of the columns, it requires details such as the name of the owner, father's name, PAN, etc.

The PAN number corresponds to the entire Himachal Forest Corporation, while EPF is managed separately by the factory itself. Consequently, we are left with no choice but to provide the details of the GM in the owner's details column.
