In my knowledge, a Labor Welfare Officer will mainly be looking after the "well-being" of laborers working in the Automobile Industry.

Major Tasks of a Labor Welfare Officer

1. Measure the current job satisfaction level of laborers in the company. Assess gaps and create points to design welfare needs.

2. Design and define welfare policy guidelines in the context of the business goals of the organization.

3. Arrange welfare activities and camps as and when required (monthly, quarterly, yearly).

4. Liaise with government and local authorities for the applicable acts within the industry.

5. Arrange quality accommodation, canteen, clean water, transportation, and medical checkup facilities for laborers and their families.

6. If any critical incident occurs, report it immediately to management, ensure compliance, and confirm the timely delivery of services and benefits to the affected laborers or their families.

7. Assist management in defining good motivational policies for laborers to maintain the lowest attrition ratio.

8. Ensure a "Feel Good Environment" for the mutual growth of the organization and labor.

I hope this covers all possible points. Please revert in case further assistance on the subject matter is required.
