Leave Dilemma: Should Sundays Count as Part of the Leave Period?

I am Sonam Kabra, HR Manager in a company. I received a leave application dated 02/02/15 to 14/02/15. Please suggest to me whether Sunday is considered a holiday or part of the leave period.

Of course, Sunday will also be treated as a leave because Sunday falls in between the leave.

If I received an application from 10/02/15 to 14/02/15, and thereafter the employee comes on 19/02/2015, is Sunday considered leave or not?

Actually, sir, my query is: the leave application is until 14/02/15, and the employee is scheduled to return on Monday, 16/02/15. Since 15/02/15 falls on a Sunday, please advise whether Sunday should be considered as part of the leave or not.

You need not consider Sunday. In case Sunday falls in between, you need to account for it. However, when it is a prefix or suffix, you need not consider it.
