Lost Your TCS Experience Letter? Here's How to Handle This Urgent Situation

I had worked with TCS for 3 years and then resigned and quit via the proper channel. I withdrew my PF and received an FFS letter also, via the TCS corporate account. Now, after 2 years, I need my relieving or service certificate for an urgent purpose. Unfortunately, my entire TCS document folder seems to have been lost or entirely misplaced. What can I do in this case? I have sent an email to the TCS Corporate FFS team (awaiting their reply).

Questions Regarding Reissuing Documents

1. Does the company reissue an experience letter or service certificate?
2. I have the FFS letter with my date of joining, date of resignation, my designation, my reason for resignation, and my other details (in an email sent from the TCS corporate account). I also have access to the TCS alumni site with my employee ID, my profile, and my last few salary slips, etc. Can they be used in the company instead of the experience letter?

Please advise, I am in a great fix now.

Dear Amit, all is not lost. Save the bank statements. You can even get them from the bank if you can't find them now. Please download the proof of your being a part of the alumni. The firm will reissue you the documents. Till then, save the communications you had with them. Wish you all the best!

I have the same issue. I lost the email that had my experience letter attached to it. I have raised a request from the alumni portal but haven't received any response yet. Were you able to retrieve the letter from TCS? Please provide some insights.

I am not sure why the various posters above think that we can solve your problem. It is very unlikely that any of us work for TCS and therefore have no influence to be able to do anything for you.

Getting a duplicate copy of the letter
Getting a duplicate copy of the letter is solely in the hands of TCS, and it is with them you must negotiate. You could also try getting the HR in your new company to contact their counterparts in TCS and try to solve the problem that way.

Be wary of using the word URGENT
Also, be wary of using the word URGENT. What is urgent to you is not necessarily urgent to anyone else. Everyone has different priorities.
