Sir, I joined an IT major in India in August 2014 and was given training for three months in a particular domain. After successfully completing the training, I was assigned a service desk job, which was not acceptable to me. To request a project change, I approached my managers, including HR, but was informed that as a fresher, I had to work in the service desk role or resign. Despite presenting valid reasons, my requests were ignored. Ultimately, under pressure from my team lead to resign, I submitted my resignation on December 13, 2014, and took leave to be with my father, who was experiencing health issues. I had applied for this leave a week before resigning.
Upon resigning, I was informed that I needed to serve a one-month notice period during which I was not allowed to take any leave. After negotiations, they agreed to grant me a two-week leave. Once back in my hometown, I requested an additional 20 days of unpaid leave to care for my parents, but this was denied citing the policy against granting leave during notice periods. As I am currently at home looking after my parents, my HR informed me that the compliance team would initiate the Last Working Day procedure by Monday.
Please advise on the potential consequences if I do not return to the organization. Please help.
