Is Gandhi Jayanti a Mandatory Holiday Under the Shop & Establishment Act in 2015?

I am looking for the latest Holiday List for 2015 as per the Shop & Establishment Act (not the Factory Act) to determine if October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, is mandatory according to the Shop & Establishment regulations. This is important because October 2 is no longer mandatory for organizations covered under the Factory Act, whereas ours is covered under the Shop & Establishment Act.

As per my knowledge, October 2nd is a mandatory holiday irrespective of the Factory/Shops & Establishment Act. Kindly check the mandatory holidays, national, and regional holidays on http://www.officeholidays.com/countries/india/. Plan your annual holiday calendar accordingly after discussing/negotiating with your management.
