Curious About Becoming an IT Recruiter? Do I Need an MBA or HR Experience?

b.ramya20
Hi, I worked as a developer in a company for almost 1 year and 10 months. Later, I resigned from my job because of my family. Instead of sitting idle, I was preparing for CAT. It didn't go well, so I'm planning for an MBA in Distance from NMIMS or Symbiosis with a specialization in HR. Now, I'm looking for a job change, as I'm more interested in being a recruiter than a developer. As a recruiter, I'll have more opportunities to get to know different people, their interests, and their problems.

Qualifications Required to be a Recruiter

I want to know what qualifications are required to be a recruiter. I'm an engineering graduate, with 1 year and 10 months of experience in development. I am aware of how the software industry works, including the qualifications and skills required for particular roles in IT. Is it necessary to have an MBA with a specialization in HR? Can I join as an IT recruiter without any experience in recruiting?

Kindly guide me.

Thanks,
Ramya

Being an Engineering graduate and having experience in development, you can join as a Technical Recruiter. If you have knowledge about recruitment, you can be a good recruiter. However, an MBA adds value to your career.
