How Can I Rebuild My Career After Being Forced to Resign Over Fake Documents?

I have 3 years of experience with XXX as an IT Specialist. Suddenly, I was forced to resign from my job, stating that my previous company's relieving documents were fake. I had absconded from my previous company and joined XXX. I had no other option but to go for fake documents as I was desperately in need of a job. They never addressed this issue in the 3 years I worked there. Now, I have been asked to resign on the spot because of this.

HR informed me that I won't receive my relieving documents. They will only provide my experience documents after 45 days along with the full and final settlement. This issue has ruined my career.

I have now contacted my previous company and obtained my exit documents. Please advise me on how to approach other companies to explore better opportunities and overcome this situation. Additionally, please provide your insights on how I can reach out to XXX with the proper documents I now possess and request assistance in obtaining my relieving letter.

Nothing is wrong with having a bad past, provided you do not hide facts. In the future, during an interview, make it a point to mention this as a lesson learned in your life. This honest statement should also be supplemented with honest behavior from you. You may not have a problem thereafter. To appeal to HCL, you may appeal at each level if rejected at a lower level until you get it.

I want to inquire if they can provide my relieving documents, notifying my original relieving documents that I received from my previous company.

You can write to HR and also to the operational head in case HR is not supportive or wants to gang up and protect their clan. Without entering into arguments or using bad language, get your relieving document.

Though I am not an expert, I believe that during these three years, you were being billed to some client based on the context that you are a genuine expert in your field. Now, after three years, HCL thinks you are involved in some fraud. Shouldn't we also consider this as a fraud that HCL committed with the client for whom you were billed in the last three years? After all, who wants to give the billing of such a person whom the company itself deems a fraud?

Hi all, I have been working at HCL for the past 10 years. I joined in 2008 with an update to HR that if I joined early, no relieving letter would be provided by my previous company. They agreed to my joining HCL without a relieving letter; only a resignation email was deemed sufficient. Now, after 10 years in a new project, the client requires a Background Verification (BGV) check. My BGV has been initiated again, and I did not provide them with details of my previous company. However, the same BGV company may have already conducted a check with all my details from the previous BGV check.
