Curious About PF Verification? What Your New Employer Can Find Out About Your PF Account

Hi all, I quit my job, and I received the PF claim amount as well. In case my next employer wishes to verify if the PF account number is valid or not, would they be able to do so? Also, what details can an employer obtain with just the PF account number, especially after the PF payment has been received?

In order to maintain continuity and reduce the load pertaining to the allotment of PF accounts every time an individual gets employed, a unified account number has been allotted to every employee recently. Your employer may want to know this for future course of action. However, I do not see any harm in sharing your PF account.
