Curious About Salary Increases? How Software Companies Decide on Annual Raises

Regi George
Hello,

I am working in a software company and I would like to know on what grounds the increments are done. What are the percentages typically used in a software company?

Regards,

Hi Regi,

This is a Humour section. Please post your query in an appropriate section for a proper and immediate reply. Anyways...

The increments are purely based on the performance of a programmer or any employee in the Software Industry. As far as percentages are concerned, we usually give an increment to freshers in 6 months itself, which will be a 5% to 10% increase on the basic (depending again on the performance). For experienced employees, the increment is done on a yearly basis, which again depends on their performance and targets achieved as per company goals (5% to 25% on basic).

Let me know if you have any more queries.
