Can I Withdraw My PF After Resignation If My UAN Shows I'm Employed Elsewhere?

SAL143
I have been allotted a UAN by my previous employer and left the company after 10 months of service. When I submitted Form 19 to the employer, they said that I cannot withdraw PF after two months of resignation because of the UAN. They mentioned that it can be easily tracked that I am employed somewhere else. Can anyone guide me on whether I can withdraw or not?

Yes, you cannot withdraw the PF amount due to already having an allotted UAN that is updated with your new company, making it an operative account. In case you have been allotted a new account number with your present company, then you can withdraw your money.

Yes, I have been allotted a new PF account number in the new company. I completed three months since resignation, but I have been working since the next day after the last day at my previous company. Can I withdraw in this case?

When you submit your withdrawal Form 19, you declare that you are not employed, or if employed, you do not have PF benefits. Now, through UAN, the PF department has collected your PAN, Aadhar, and bank account details in their system. Therefore, if you are employed within 60 days, they will discover that your declaration is incorrect, and your claim will not be settled.

Only if you are not employed after 60 days of leaving your job will you be able to submit and settle your PF claim form.

Verification Intentions of the PF Office

If the PF office's intention is to verify through PAN and bank account, then before the introduction of UAN, they could have obtained the data. Their intention is not to verify through PAN or bank account. Also, I have not yet registered my UAN on the PF website; I have only received my UAN.
