Looking for Budget-Friendly and Durable Diwali Gift Ideas for Our 500 Employees – Any Suggestions?

Hi,

Ours is an IT & ITES company with around 500 employees. This year, we would like to provide personalized gifts to all our employees within the budget of Rs. 200-250 per person. These gifts should be durable.

Could you please offer some suggestions on what can be provided within this budget while meeting our criteria? Last year, we gave personalized wooden pen stands and pen sets with engraving.

As per my point of view, you can give your employees a wall clock or table clock, fancy paperweights, a small traveling bag, a night lamp, or even an antique Lord Ganesha idol for a happy and prosperous new year. These items are common but can be used as a memento.

As per my views, you have a huge staff, so you will get a very good deal on dried fruit boxes, sweets, chocolates, or any other branded gift. If possible, try to include some branded items. Meanwhile, also obtain quotations from all the vendors for these gifts.

May I suggest the following gift ideas for Diwali:

1. Give them a silver coin of Lord Ganesh & Goddess Laxmi.
2. Give them a packet of dry fruits.
3. Give them some gift vouchers.
4. Give them some gift items with the organization's name printed on them.
5. Offer some extra incentives.
6. Consider giving them a packet of sweets or any other item you think would be suitable for Diwali.

I would suggest gifting a SILVER COIN with one side featuring your company name or brand and on the other side, Lord Ganesha or Saraswati. This option is unique and would be well-received.

Isn't it an inconsiderate suggestion that silver coins with the pictures of Hindu deities be gifted to all employees, without considering the feelings of non-Hindu employees who are bound to be present in all organizations? I have always wondered why the HR department does not take this little, but significant, fact into consideration while recommending such gifts to the management!

I still don't agree with you on this matter. Where does communal racism come into play here? It's a festival celebrated everywhere with prayers to these Gods. Keeping something with a picture of a God from a different caste, I don't think will create any problems between the employees. If it does, you may consider choosing a different gift for employees of various races.

I had never thought of a specific religion. What I had mentioned is SARASWATI OR GANESHA. SARASWATI is about education, which any human being can acquire. Here the matter of racism does not occur.
