Seeking Fresh Ideas for Employee Engagement Activities in a 500-Employee Unit

Hi Friends, I'm working in the banking industry as an HR Executive. I have been handling HR operations for the last three years. Recently, I have been appointed as an HR Manager for a unit with 500 employees.

Please suggest some employee engagement activities that I can implement in the unit.

As far as employee engagement activities are concerned, take it easy for the first three months. Study what the HRM setup is like. Get full control of the HR department and the documentation.

Establish Rapport with Management

Understand their vision and find out their budget. If you start implementing any activities (I can recommend a dozen of them), it will cost money to the organization. You will find yourself in a difficult position if you can't maintain the promises made. So, take it easy for now and revisit this in January 2015.
