Prorating Leave Days for New Staff: How Do You Calculate It Fairly?

Hello everyone, I need help with prorating my staff's leave days. They started in April this year and are entitled to 15 working days of leave per year. I would appreciate guidance on how to calculate their prorated leave days.

If you divide the total entitled leave, i.e., 15 days, by 12 months, you will get 1.25 leave days per month. Since the employee has joined in April, his/her entitlement for leave for the remaining 9 months will be 11.25 days.
