I have been involved in campus recruitment on behalf of my company (a PSU). The procedure adopted by us is to write to the colleges, providing a complete profile of the organization and specifying the requirements. All relevant information regarding the number of posts we have, the job profile, salary and perquisites, place of posting, and the growth opportunities are clearly spelled out.

The objective is to provide all organizational details so that the candidates can decide if they should apply for the post. If you are interested in a campus interview, first speak to the Placement Officer of the college, followed by a letter providing the information mentioned above. Personal contact with the institutions is very helpful.
