Dear All HR Team,

Please find attached the proposed Holiday list for 2015. I have also attached the central government notification for your ready reference. You can decide on holidays for 2015 as per your organization's policy and management approval.

Not exactly, but most of the holidays will be common for Central Government offices and PSUs. Every PSU will publish their own holiday list, taking into account holidays observed on an all-India basis like Shankaranthi (Pongal), Shivrathri, Deepavali, Vijaya Dhasami, Good Friday, Ramzan, May Day, etc., and compulsory holidays like Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanthi, as well as local (state government) holidays like New Year (local) day, state formation day, etc. However, they try to keep the total number of days more or less the same.

Hi Tejas, I was trying to extract the Karnataka Holidays 2015 list. Could you please let me know where I can get this? Are there any websites from which I can obtain it?

The dates and days are already published in the Central Government Gazette. The mandatory holidays are 26 Jan, 15 Aug, and 2 Oct. Some states may grant leave for 1 May as Labor Day. Most states give their state formation day as a public holiday at the state level.
