Wage Revision Confusion: Can We Adjust Negative PF and Pension Contributions Now?

sandyaaa
Due to a wage revision with retrospective effect, the wages for the earlier period have decreased, resulting in a negative balance in dues. Consequently, the PF and pension contributions have turned negative. Is it possible to adjust the excess pension contributions made earlier now?

Thanks in advance.

Wage Revision and Retrospective Effect

Wage revision with retrospective effect would still be higher than what was paid earlier. In case an interim increase was done, the final amount would be higher than the interim one. How did the salary go down? Or did you change the salary structure with retrospective effect to include PF contributions?

Initially, the wage scale was set from NE-4 to NE-6. However, following a court order, the wage range was adjusted from NE-4 to NE-5 and then to NE-6, resulting in a wage reduction. I hope this clarifies my position.

Whoever can understand what NE4, NE5, and NE6 mean can help you out. Do you expect to get a solution when you don't bother to give proper details and explanations?

If you are talking about EPF, PF contribution can't be reduced. Probably you are in some public sector. Whatever is applicable to that organization will be applicable to you.
