Confused About Leave Calculation: Should My Day Off Count Separately?

tangellsri
I have one small clarification about a situation. In October, we have some government leaves from 02.10.2014 to 03.10.2014 and 05.10.2014 to 06.10.2014, totaling 6 days. However, we took a day off (PL) on 04.10.2014. As per our HR department's declaration, we have calculated for any 3 days (prefix and suffix), whether 02.10.2014 to 04.10.2014 or 04.10.2014 to 06.10.2014.

In my opinion, one day should be applicable. Is this right or wrong?

Thank you.

Kindly confirm if it is possible to deduct leave for 3 days.

It is terrible. Where are we? On 2/10/2015, it is Gandhi Jayanthi and Saraswathi Pooja/Ayyudha Pooja. On 3/10/2014, it is Vijaya Dasami. On 4/10/2014, it is Saturday (in the case of applicable leave in government and educational institutions, for a private institution, it is a working day if it is so). On 5/10/2014, it is Sunday (Bakrid).

So, when one employee takes leave on 4/10/2014, both prefix and suffix automatically attach the string, and there is no question of personal validation. There should not be any confusion in these issues. Only the employee who wants to harass others takes it as a big issue and makes it an uncommon issue. Be true and conscious of the system and not to the peril.

If you are taking EL/CFP on the 1st & 4th, then the 2nd & 3rd will be included. If you are taking EL/CFP on the 4th & 7th, then the 5th & 6th will be included.
