There is no term "CIG report" in the Indian Factories Act of 1948. Where did you come across this term?

Dear Sir, yesterday, the Deputy Chief Commissioner came to our factory and asked us to submit the CIG report.

Which state are you from? Please obtain the Bare Act along with your State's Rules and find the information from there. I have not come across this report. You can ask the official who visited you and requested this report what it is about. Please do not forget to share the information you receive with this forum.

The full form of CIG is Complete Inspection Report. As per quality terms, we consider if any companies have been certified under various quality certifications. One of the links is for your information: ECS Public Documents GROUP PERMANENT AND OPERATIONAL DOCUMENTS.

In your case, he may be asking for the annual return in Form 20. Please check with the inspector's office to be clearer.

Thank you very much for your contribution. With due respect to you, sir, I would like to comment as follows:

1. The complete Inspection Report, abbreviated as CIR and not CIG.
2. It seems to me that the link provided by you is for the European Certification System, not the Indian one.
3. To the best of my knowledge, there is no term or abbreviation CIG in the Indian Factories Act of 1948 or any of its associated rules.

My knowledge may be limited, but I am always eager to expand it by reading as many threads as possible in the forum and participating in selective discussions. I would appreciate it if you could correct me if I am mistaken.

Thank you.

Dear Ravisunil ji, can you please share with us the following information:

1. State in which your factory is situated.
2. Nature of activity and product name.
3. Registrations with various authorities in India and abroad, if any.

Your response will help us find the answer to your query. The best way, I repeat, is for the authority who requested this report to be approached by you to obtain the information and then share it with us. Please identify who this authority is. I am certain that they are not from the Factory Inspectorate.
