Coordination can be referred to as the connecting activity in a business scenario. A business setup would have various centers or departments, each working within its sphere of activities. At the helm, the activities have to be coordinated to achieve the organization's objectives/goals. The absence of coordination will lead to chaos. Many departments/centers work in silos, and coordination will eliminate such confusion.

Basic Steps of Coordination

So, in general, the basic steps would include:

1. Enabling interdepartmental information flow.
2. Identifying deadlock areas to resolve the issues.
3. Taking steps to avoid conflicts between departments.
4. Reviewing past decisions and performance.
5. Planning for future activities.

On a case-to-case basis, other steps could be added.
