Vishwakarma Pooja Holiday in Industries

In industries, Vishwakarma Pooja days are declared as holidays. However, government offices remain open on these days.

I don't want to give a holiday on Vishwakarma Jayanti. Can I open my unit on that day, or is it a restricted holiday by the M.P. government based on their standing order?

Apex Management
As per my knowledge, only a few holidays are compulsory, i.e., 26th Jan, 15th Aug, 2nd Oct, and one statehood day. The remaining holidays are decided by considering the local festivals according to the majority of employees, whether it may be Diwali, Dussehra, Eid, or Ganesh Mahotsava, to fulfill the requirements of the minimum holidays to be given according to the provisions.

According to my experience, at the plant level, we have to give holidays because workers will not accept otherwise. However, at the office level, people can work.
